Dukes In Search of Their Bride

There were two young men on Star Base 12 and one was the great-great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard, and the other was the great-great-great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard through his oldest son, Lord Frederick William Howard who was born five years after Lord Patrick and Lady Margaret arrived on Star Base 12 in 2165.

Lord Frederick William Howard falls in love with Lady Jeanette Virginia Beaufort who is the eldest daughter and heiress of Lord Edmund Beaufort in 2182, but Lady Jeanette Virginia is told by her father it is up to her if she wants to marry Lord Frederick William Howard or not.

Lady Jeanette Virginia at first is not sure that she wants to marry Lord Frederick William Howard as she is not impressed with him in the beginning.

Lord Frederick William Howard doesn’t give up in his pursuit of Lady Jeanette Virginia Beaufort and finally she agrees to marry him in 2184.

Lady Jeanette is the first daughter to decide who she will be allowed to marry on Star Base 12 and she asks Lord Frederick William “ What will I get out of this marriage?”

“I will tell you. You will become the Duchess of Norfolk Territory.”Lord Frederick William and “we will have children. You do want children, don’t you?” 

“What woman doesn’t want children?” Lady Jeanette asks.

“How many children do you want?” Lord Frederick William asks.

“I am not sure. How many can you give me?” Lady Jeanette asks.

“Why don’t we settle on four?” Lord Frederick William asks Lady Jeanette.

“Four is fine with me, but I want a daughter.” Lady Jeanette states.

“My father longs for his first granddaughter.” Lady Jeanette states.

Lord Frederick William and Lady Jeanette Virginia produce four children: Lord Frederick William Howard II is born in 2185, Lord Charles Andrew Howard is born in 2187, Lady Sophia Charlotte in 2190 and Lord Andrew Charles is born in 2195.

Lord Frederick William becomes Duke of Norfolk Territory at the age of 30 years old when his father, Lord Patrick William Howard passes away at the age of 57.

Lord Frederick William Howard Senior is not as popular as his father, Lord Patrick William Howard was when he was Duke on Star Base 12 and he is greatly mourned.

Lady Jeanette makes it clear “ My son, Lord Frederick William II will succeed you. He is my heir to the Duke of Somerset.” Lady Jeanette states.

“My sons will marry who I tell them too.” Lord Frederick William exclaims.

“Listen Frederick William. I didn’t have to marry you and going against my better judgement I did.” Lady Jeanette states.

“Let my sons marry for love as we did.” Lady Jeanette tells him.

“Love can come later when they marry. The nature of marriage is for political and financial reasons within aristocrats.” Lord Frederick William explains.

“When aristocrats marry it is for alliances, finances, children, and love is secondary.” Lord Frederick William states.

“Oh! So you married me because I am the heiress to The Duke of Somerset. You will never get your grubby paws on my territory.” Lady Jeanette promises.

“My father has brothers and I will leave it to one of my cousins.” Lady Jeanette states.

“Howard’s will never claim my territory.” Lady Jeanette tells her husband.

Despite the pleas of Lady Jeanette Virginia. They go unheard and Lord Frederick William looks for a bride for his eldest son, Lord Frederick William II.

Lord Frederick William Howard II eloped with Lady Antoinette Bourbon in 2205 and without his father’s blessings on his marriage. He is disinherited and all of his children as well.

Lord Frederick William Howard turns to his second son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard and with his consent in 2207 Lord Charles Andrew Howard marries Lady Alexandra Elizabeth Churchill, the heiress of The Dukedom of Marlborough, and she is one tough young woman and allowed to decide who she will marry as well.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard and Lady Alexandra Elizabeth Churchill are married in June of 2207, and in 2209, Lord Charles Andrew Howard Junior is born, followed by Lord Richard Edward Howard, followed by Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard, to be followed by Lord Edwin William Howard in 2220.

Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard born in 2190 falls in love with Lord William Carey in 2208, and a war breaks out between Lord Frederick and his sons to fight for the right of Lady Sophia Charlotte to marry for love along with Lady Jeanette.

Lord Charles Andrew states,” Hey old man. Listen here. Let my sister marry for love.” 

Lord Frederick William II pulls his sword “ Listen old man.I will slice into collopes and I don’t want to make my mother into a widow before her time.” 

Lady Jeanette with Lady Antoinette and Lady Alexandra side with their husbands for the right for Lady Sophia Charlotte to marry Lord William Carey.

Lord Frederick William Howard finally gives in and on a sunny June day in 2210, he walks his only daughter, Lady Sophia Charlotte up the aisle and his sons have their swords drawn ready to fight their father and if necessary kill him.

In the pews sits Lord Charles Andrew JR who is only one year at the time of his aunt’s marriage to Lord William Carey along with Lady Antoinette holding their daughter, Lady Alexandra Elizabeth Howard as well.

All three of Lady Sophia Charlotte watch their only sister, Lady Sophia Charlotte marry the man she loves.

Lady Sophia Charlotte blessed her husband with a son, Lord George Frederick Carey in 2211, and Lord Charles Andrew JR and he became best friends as they grew up.

Lady Sophia Charlotte goes on to have a daughter, Lady Georgiana Virginia Carey in 2215.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard born in 2195. He is different all together and he marries Lady Cynthia Percy the heiress to the Dukedom of Northumberland Territory in 2221.

Lord Frederick William Howard Senior passed away in 2225 at the age of 60 years and his second son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior became Duke of Norfolk Territory at the age of 38 years old.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior marries his eldest son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR who was born in 2208 is 18 year old to Lady Patricia Eugenie Stuart, the daughter of Lord Matthew Alexander Stuart in 2228 and it is a forced marriage with neither the bride or groom loving each other.

Lord Charles Andrew JR and Lady Patricia muddle through their marriage and together they have five children, Lord Charles Andrew Howard III in 2230, Lady Patricia Charlene Howard in 2235, Lord Patrick William Howard II in 2240, Lady Charlotte Augusta Howard in 2245 and finally, Lord Andrew Charles Howard in 2250 and with his second wife, Lady Sarah in 2276, a third daughter, Lady Frederica Wilhelmina Howard.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior passed away in 2240 at the age of 50 years old but he left the Dukedom of Norfolk Territory in a succession crisis.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR becomes Duke of Norfolk Territory at the age of 38 years old and he expects his eldest son, Lord Charles Andrew III when the time comes, but his father has altered the act of succession to the Dukedom of Norfolk and he states “The first of my grandsons that presents me with my first great-grandchild and I am not a finicky man will inherit the Dukedom of Norfolk Territory from my son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR.” 

Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory is the great-great-great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard through his only granddaughter, Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard and Lord William Carey and their son, Lord George and his son, Lord Robert Carey.

Both Lord Andrew Charles Howard and Lord Richard William Carey deplore the aristocracy they are born into and they don’t want to marry a woman who was born into and they both vie for Karissa's affection.

Karissa doesn’t want marriage but she wants a daughter that she can name Elizabeth after Queen Elizabeth I of England, Victoria after Queen Victoria, and Anne after Queen Anne of England and Beltane after the Pagan Sabbath that she will be born on if she can find the right man to become the sperm donor and once she is pregnant she will just will disappear and raise her daughter on her own.

Both Lord Andrew Charles Howard and Lord Richard William Carey need a heir or heiress to secure their Dukedoms on Star Base 12 and they want new blood to run through their family.

Karissa is left with deciding which one she prefers and both are handsome but Madame tells her that Lord Richard William Carey is the better catch as he is already Duke and Lord Andrew Charles Howard is only the youngest son of the present Duke of Norfolk Territory.

Karissa has to make the decision to marry and give up her freedom and become a part of the aristocracy she deplores and wants no part but she will sacrifice for the sake of a daughter.

Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William and she thinks they are both handsome but she isn’t sure which one she wants so she waits it out and sees which one pursues her the most.

The young man that pursues her the most is Lord Andrew Charles Howard who is ambitious and wants to succeed his father as the next Duke of Norfolk as his two older brothers have failed to have one child.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard is much like Lord Frederick William Howard, his great-grandfather and he doesn’t give up until he marries Karissa and she becomes Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell before they married in 2275.
