The Marchioness of Pembroke Territory Part 2 : The First Tour to Pembroke Territory
The First Tour of Pembroke Territory
Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann decides to take a tour of Pembroke Territory shortly after she becomes Duchess of Norfolk Territory.
Pembroke Territory is named for Pembroke, Wales where King Henry VII of England was born in 1457 but it was destroyed in World War III in 2153.
Lady Karissa was created Marchioness of Pembroke Territory by Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, 4th Duke of Norfolk Territory prior to her marriage to Lord Andrew Charles Howard.
Lady Karissa informs Lord Andrew Charles that she is going to take her first official tour of Pembroke.
Lord Andrew Charles looks at her and says, “I will send my eldest brother and cousins with you. “
Lord Andrew Charles asks Lord Charles Andrew Howard III, Lord Richard William Carey, Lord Frederick William Howard III and Lord Thomas William Howard to accompany to Pembroke Territory and he orders them “ Don’t let anyone get near the Howard carriage carrying my Duchess and heiress. Put your phasers on kill.”
Lady Karissa carries Lady Elizabeth in her arms and she looks at Lord Andrew Charles and tells him “ I need to take a tour of Pembroke to make sure that my people don’t lack anything.” and with Lord Richard William Carey by her side.
Lady Karissa carrying Lady Elizabeth in her arms climbs into the Howard carriage and Lord Andrew Charles watches the carriage pull away from Beltane Manor.
Lord Charles Andrew Howard III rides in the front of the carriage, Lord Frederick William Howard in the back of the carriage, Lord Thomas William Howard rides on the left side of the carriage and Lord Patrick William Howard II rides on the right of the carriage as it starts it on its way to Pembroke Territory.
Lady Karissa takes Barbara with her as she is Lady Elizabeth nanny and Barbara sits in the seat across from Lady Karissa who is holding Lady Elizabeth in her arms and Lord Richard William is sitting next to her.
The Howard carriage passes through Essex Territory is greeted by Lord David William Beck and his wife, Lady Katherine and he greets his first cousin’s thrice removed along with his second cousin, Lady Elizabeth.
“Welcome to my humble territory, Lady Karissa .” Lord David tells her.
“Thank you, Lord David.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“I see that my second cousin, Her Grace, Lady Elizabeth is doing very well.” Lord David tells her.
“Oh yes. Lady Elizabeth is doing very well. She is growing by heap and bounds.” Lady Karissa explains.
“Lady Elizabeth is Lord Charles Andrew JR’s pearl of great value.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“I do declare you would think that Lady Elizabeth will be his only grandchild, but I have told him many times he will have other grandchildren.” Lady Karissa tells Lord David.
“You have to understand that my grand Uncle had to wait for 33 years just to get his first grandchild.” Lord David William tells her.
“How is Lord Andrew Charles?” Lord David asks.
“Lord Andrew Charles is the same old stick in the mud.” Lady Karissa says with a laugh.
“He is overwhelmed with paperwork and matters of governing Norfolk Territory.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“I told him he may have bitten off more than he could chew.” Lady Karissa tells Lord David.
“I see Lord Andrew Charles sent all of his kin to accompany you to Pembroke Territory.” Lord David exclaims.
“Oh yes, everyone is counted for and their phasers are set on kill.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“I don’t see Lord Richard Edward Howard II here.” Lord David William tells Lady Karissa .
Lord Richard Edward Howard II is his favorite first cousin whereas Lord Richard William Carey is his least favorite first cousin.” Lord David tells Lady Karissa .
“Out of all of his kin, I prefer Lord Richard William Carey and then you.” Lady Karissa confesses.
“It must be because you are from the matrilineal line of the Howard's.” Lady Karissa states.
“Unfortunately, when you come from the matrilineal line it doesn’t carry much weight as if it comes from the paternal line.” Lord David states.
“Despite the fact that my late mother was the granddaughter of Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior. It didn’t carry much weight as my grandfather was only his youngest son.” Lord David William tells her.
“My maternal grandfather married Lady Penelope Rich nee Devereux and their single child was my late mother, Lady Eliza Katherine Howard born in 2225 and she married my father, Lord William Beck in 2243, and I was born in December of 2245.” Lord David explains.
“My mother died in 2250, one month before Lord Andrew Charles was born.” Lord David explains, “ My sister died shortly after my mother gave birth to her and she passed away shortly thereafter.” Lord David explains.
“My aunt, Lady Charlotte Augusta Beck was my grand-uncle’s first love, but he was forbidden to marry her.” Lord David tells her.
“Both Lord Frederick William Howard, my great-grand uncle and my Uncle, Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior were disinherited because they failed to get consent to marry.” Lord David explains.
“My grandfather never talked much about my great-grandfather but he was a disagreeable man like his father, Lord Frederick William Howard.” Lord David states.
“You have to admire him in some ways as he did make sure that my grand-Aunt could marry for love and he would have killed his father for it to happen.” Lord David tells Lady Karissa..
“I am very grateful for that as Lady Sophia Charlotte had never married Lord William . I would not have my dear Lord Richard William.” Lady Karissa explains.
Lord Richard William Carey walks over to Lord David William Beck as they are third cousins through Lord Frederick William Howard and he says “ Hello Lord David.”
“Good Day, Lord Richard William.” Lord David tells him.
“I see you have come to greet our third cousin, Lady Elizabeth. Isn’t she really beautiful?” Lord Richard William asks.
“Of course, but look at who her father and mother are.” Lord David tells him.
Lord Charles Andrew III with Lord Patrick William walk over to greet their first cousin twice removed, Lord David and they say “ Hello, Lord David.”
“Welcome to Chartley Manor. Lord Charles and Lord Patrick William II. “ Lord David William tells them.
Lord Frederick William Howard III is Lord David William Beck first cousin once removed and Lord Thomas William Howard his third cousin.
They all gather around and talk to each other and catch up with the latest news and they spend the night at Chartley Manor before the head off for the next day toward Pembroke Territory.
Lady Karissa sends word to her two best friends, Lt, Kevin Thomas Riley and Lord Richard Williams to join her out at Pembroke Territory.
She hasn’t seen either of them in such a long time and they are her two best friends.
When Kevin Thomas Riley receives the invitation he goes to the Dean of Star-Fleet Academy and asks, “May Lt Williams and I permission to go to Pembroke Sir.”
The Dean looks up and answers, “How much leave do you need, Lt Riley?”
“We have been asked to come to Pembroke Territory by Lady Karissa Howard, Marchioness of Pembroke and Duchess of Norfolk Territory.” Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells him.
“I see Her Grace has asked you to join her, by all means. “ The Dean tells Lt Kevin Riley and Lt. Richard William.
Kevin and Richard pack a bag for the trip and they jump into his antique mustang and they head off to Pembroke Territory.
“Hey, Richard. Put on some cruising music.” Kevin asks him and Richard turns on the radio and they cruise down the road headed for Pembroke Territory.
The next day, Lady Karissa gets up with her entourage and they thank Lord David for his hospitality and the Howard carriage heads for Wessex Territory where Lord Richard Edward Howard II is Duke.
Lord Richard Edward Howard II and his Duchess, Lady Suzanne, meet the Howard carriage carrying Lady Karissa and his first cousin once removed, Lady Elizabeth and his other kin.
Lord Richard Edward II walks over to the Howard carriage and with his Duchess, Lady Suzanne. They welcome Lady Karissa and her entourage to Wessex Territory where they spend the evening before they set off for Pembroke Territory.
Lady Karissa steps out of the carriage carrying Lady Elizabeth and Wessex Territory has a good old medieval flare to it and all of sudden the musicians appears they start playing some medieval music to welcome Lady Karissa to Wessex Territory with Lord Richard William Carey by her side she goes to meet the good people of Wessex Territory.
The people present her with presents and presents for Lady Elizabeth and Lady Karissa hands Lady Elizabeth to Barbara and with Lord Richard William by her side she goes out to join the people who are dancing in the street of Wessex.
Lord Richard Edward II escorts Lady Suzanne out to the streets and they join Lady Karissa and Lord Richard William dancing.
The people walk up to meet their Duke, Lord Richard Edward Howard II and his Duchess, Lady Suzanne who is expecting their first child in September of 2276.
Lady Karissa smiles at the people and she calls Barbara to bring Lady Elizabeth with her and she presents her to the people and they all start to cheer as she is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Lord Patrick William Howard.
One little girl with her mother walks up to her “ My Lady. My mother and I made this blanket for Lady Elizabeth by hand.” The little girl tells Lady Karissa.
“It is beautiful “ Lady Karissa tells her and she asks Lord Charles Andrew Howard III to give the mother and her daughter a gift.
Lord Andrew Charles sent 1000 credits to be given out if needed to the people.
Lord Richard Edward with Lady Suzanne along with Lady Karissa and her entourage head back to Wessex Manor where they spend the night.
Lady Suzanne tells Lady Karissa “ We are having a son.”
“We will name him after his father, Lord Richard Edward Howard.” Lady Suzanne tells her.
“Our children will be second cousins.” Lady Suzanne tells her.
“Did you hear the news that Lady Victoria is expecting Lord Charles Andrew Howard III and her first child in August.” Lady Karissa asks.
“I find that hard to believe after how many years of marriage?” Lady Suzanne asks.
“They were married in 2251 when Lord Charles Andrew Howard III was 21 and she was 18.” Lady Karissa states.
“They have been married for 24 years and only now she becomes pregnant. “ Lady Karissa tells Lady Suzanne.
“All she does is complain about her figure and waist .” Lady Karissa says with a laugh.
“Good Gracious. We both know we are married to a Howard man. They enjoy creating children.” Lady Suzanne states.
“Oh indeed. Lord Andrew Charles wants 4 more children. If he could have a tribe he would.” Lady Karissa confesses.
“What, he wants 12 children?” Lady Suzanne asks.
“No, but if he could he would.” Lady Karissa laughs.
“I do believe one of his ancestors, Lord Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, had 21 children with two wives.” Lady Suzanne tells her.
“One of his ancestors was married three times and only his first two wives gave him children.” Lady Suzanne states.
“Lord Andrew Charles will have to settle for five children.” Lady Karissa states.
“We plan on having two children, Lord Richard Edward and I.” Lady Suzanne confesses.
“Two is plenty.” Lady Suzanne confesses.
“I don’t blame you, but how does Lord Richard Edward II measure up as a lover?” Lady Karissa asks.
“Oh dear me. I was afraid you would ask me that question.” Lady Suzanne tells her.
“How does any Howard man measure up in bed?” Lady Suzanne asks.
“Lord Andrew Charles has flunked.” Lady Karissa tells Lady Suzanne.
“You mean his grade was a F.” Lady Suzanne asks.
“On a scale to 1-10 and I would give him a 1 and if I could I would give an O.” Lady Karissa states.
“I would have to give Lord Richard Edward a 5, because at least he tries.” Lady Suzanne tells Lady Karissa.
“Lady Patricia and Lady Charlotte Augusta told me that their husbands were a sorry lot of men.” Lady Karissa says with a laugh.
“Lady Charlotte Augusta admitted to having a woman lover and she was very happy.” Lady Karissa tells Lady Suzanne.
“Lord Andrew Charles and I don’t plan to have our second child until 2280.” Lady Karissa states.
“I think it is wise to wait until Lady Elizabeth is nearly five years old.” Lady Karissa states.
“Lady Elizabeth will have your child and Lord Charles Andrew IIII child to play with .” Lady Karissa tells her.
Lady Karissa and Lady Suzanne spend the evening together talking while the men talk together.
Finally, Lady Karissa asks to be excused as she is going to turn in for the evening as they have to leave early.
Lord Richard William Carey rises and says “ Good Night gentlemen. It is time to turn in.” and he walks out to meet Lady Karissa and they adjourn for the night.
Neither Lord Richard William Carey nor Lady Karissa keep it a secret that they are lovers
Lord Richard William and Lady Karissa are equally matched for each other.
In November of 2276, they began their life-long love affair with each other.
The next morning, The Howard entourage thanks Lord Richard Edward II and Lady Suzanne for their hospitality and the Howard entourage heads for Pembroke Territory.
Kevin and Richard are headed there to meet Lady Karissa and they are happy to be reunited with her once again.
Kevin Thomas and Richard David see the Howard carriage drive down the streets and it enters the Pembroke Territory and Lady Karissa smiles as she sees her two dearest friends waiting at the border of Pembroke.
The Howard carriage enters Pembroke Territory with Lady Karissa , Lady Elizabeth and the Howard entourage and Kevin and Richard walk over to the carriage and they smile “ We are here for you Karissa.”
“Kevin and Richard. I am so very happy to see you two once again.” Karissa tells them and all three embrace each other once again.
Karissa calls Barbara over carrying Lady Elizabeth and she says, “Meet my daughter, Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane Howard, the future Duchess of Norfolk Territory.”
“She is beautiful, Karissa. She looks just like her mother.” Kevin tells her.
Lord Richard William Carey walks over and Kevin smiles “ Hello old friend.” Kevin tells Lord Richard.
“My dear friend, Kevin. How have you been?” Lord Richard William asks.
“I am well, Lord Richard and this is my best friend, Lt. Richard Williams.” Kevin tells him.
“Nice to meet you Lt. Williams.” Lord Richard William tells him.
“Likewise, Lord Richard William Carey.” Richard tells him.
“You know all my cousins.” Lord Richard William asks.
“I do and if I had to pick one it would be Lord Patrick and you to be my two favorite Howard’s.” Kevin admits.
“How is Lord Andrew Charles?” Kevin asks.
“He is the same. Lady Karissa calls him a stick in the mud.” Lord Richard William says with a laugh.
Pembroke Territory is very medieval and Lady Karissa is walking to meet her people.
All of sudden out of nowhere the musicians appear and they start playing some medieval music to welcome their Marchioness to Pembroke Territory and Lady Karissa flanked by Kevin and Richard walks by her side and she smiles and greets her people.
As the musicians play their music, Lady Karissa walks out into the middle of the street with the rest of her people and she starts to dance, clap her hands and sing with the people and Lord Richard William Carey joins as does Kevin and Richard.
The good people of Pembroke welcome their Marchioness to her territory and present Lady Elizabeth with a home-made baby doll and give Lady Karissa a bouquet of white roses.
Pembroke Castle is a duplicate of the Castle where King Henry VII of England was born in Pembroke, Wales.
Lord Patrick William Howard long ago built it with his own hands in 2170 and it was his daughter, Lady Elizabeth Ann who was the last Marchioness of Pembroke Territory from 2190- 2250.
Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard was named for her ancestress, Lady Elizabeth Howard, who was the granddaughter of Lord John Howard, 1st Duke of Norfolk and the grandmother of the Greatest Queen that England ever knew Queen Elizabeth I of England who was the great-great-granddaughter of Lord John Howard, 1st Duke of Norfolk Territory and as was Lord Henry Carey, the son of Lady Mary Boleyn.
Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard at the age of 20 was created Marchioness of Pembroke Territory, but no one knows if she ever married and Pembroke had gone out with a Marchioness until 2275.
Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard was born in 2170 and she was the only daughter of Lord Patrick William and the only sister of Lord Frederick William Howard.
Lady Elizabeth was alive to see all of her nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces born before she died at the age of 80 years old.
Lady Karissa walks among her beloved people and she promises them that they will always have a Marchioness.
Lady Karissa with Kevin and Richard walk together as they meet the people and finally they all head for Pembroke Castle.
“It is a beautiful majestic manor that is a duplicate of the castle that was destroyed on May 1, 2153.
Lady Karissa smiles as they approach it and she says, “Henry Tudor was born at Pembroke to Lady Margaret Beaufort and Lord Edmund Tudor.”
“You know Henry Tudor had no real claim to the English Throne and he got the crown by conquest but the real claimant was the daughter of King Edward IV of England his wife, Queen Elizabeth of York.” Lady Karissa states.
“History says that King Richard III murdered his two nephews in the Tower of London in 1483, but he didn’t have any reason to murder them, but Lady Margaret Beaufort did have reason to see that her son, Henry Tudor became King of England.” Lady Karissa tells everyone.
“It was her third husband, Lord Stanley, who placed the English crown on his stepson’s head in 1485 at Bosworth Field.” Lady Karissa explains.
Lady Karissa looks back into history and she says, “ You know at a blink of an eye Odin and Frigga could end us all.”
“You know Kevin and Richard an old Bette Milder song comes to mind and I will sing it for you and it’s call “From A Distance “ and Lady Karissa starts to sing “From A Distance.”
From a distance
The world looks blue and green
And the snow capped mountains white
From a distance
The ocean meets the stream
And the eagle takes to flight
From a distance
There is harmony
And it echoes through the land
It's the voice of hope
It's the voice of peace
It's the voice of every man
From a distance
We all have enough
And no one is in need
And there are no guns,
No bombs, and no disease
No hungry mouths to feed
From a distance
We are instruments
Marching in a common band
Playing songs of hope
Playing songs of peace
They are the songs of every man
God is watching us
God is watching us
God is watching us
From a distance
From a distance
You look like my friend
Even though we are at war
From a distance
I just cannot comprehend
What all this fighting's for
From a distance
There is harmony
And it echoes through the land
And it's the hope of hopes
It's the love of loves
It's the heart of every man
It's the hope of hopes
It's the love of loves
This is the song for every man
God is watching us
God is watching us
God is watching us
From a distance
Oh, God is watching us
God is watching
God is watching us
From a distance

Lord Richard William Carey and everyone listens to Lady Karissa sing.
Finally when Lady Karissa finishes singing she says “ Gentlemen. You know where your suites are and if you are hungry the cook has prepared you a meal.”
Lady Karissa carries Lady Elizabeth in her arms and by her side is Lord Richard William Carey and they walk up the stairs of Pembroke Castle.
